Skylights are a great component of any building, and when you can let natural skylight light into your building, it’s really neat! There is nothing like natural lighting, and sometimes people think skylights are a problem. We get asked a lot of times, especially when somebody is replacing a roof, they say “ That skylight has just leaked the whole time I want to replace it.” Skylights are usually flashed in, and it’s usually the flashing around the skylight that many times causes the problem. A lot of times when you’re replacing your roof you need to be replacing your skylights simultaneously. People correlate skylights with leaks, and a good skylight properly installed is not going to leak. So, enjoy your skylight, all your natural light.
